DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement numbers 90-TJ-018 and 90-TJ-002 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Cities of Waterloo and Cedar Falls transferred Iowa 947 to the Cities of Waterloo and Cedar Falls on October 1, 1992. It should therefore be removed from the Primary Road System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Iowa 947 be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the relocation of US 218 in Waterloo and Cedar Falls about October of 1989 an old section of Iowa 57 became Iowa 947 and should be included in the Primary Road System.

Iowa 947 begins at Greenhill Road in Waterloo and extends northwesterly and northerly in Cedar Falls to 1st Street and Center Street in Cedar Falls.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Iowa 947 as described in the attachment be added to the Primary Road System.
