Agreement 2018-TJ-001 went into effect on 12-12-2022, which transferred portions of Iowa 17 over to Boone County.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to revise the description of Iowa 17 in Boone County and including the new description in the primary road system.

Beginning on Kennedy Street at the south corporation line; thence north on Kennedy Street to the north corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 17 in Boone County has been reconstructed in Sections 30 and 31‑T84N‑R25W eliminating the curves and making a "T" intersection. The official description of Iowa 17 should be revised to reflect this reconstruction. The remainder of Iowa 17 remains unchanged.

Iowa 17 begins on the Boone‑Dallas and Polk County line approximately a mile south of Madrid and travels northerly, southeasterly and northerly via Madrid and Luther to the Boone‑Hamilton County line approximately 11 miles northeast of Boone.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve revising the description of Iowa 17 in Boone County and including the new description in the primary road system.
