DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 390 begins at Iowa 10 approximately one‑fourth mile south of the City of Marathon, and travels generally northerly into the City of Marathon.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑390-0 (1), between Buena Vista County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ-390-0 (2) between the City of Marathon and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred Iowa 390 from Iowa 10 near the S ¼ Corner Section 21‑T93N‑R35W northerly, easterly and northerly to the north line of Attica Street in the City of Marathon to local jurisdiction on November 25, 1981.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa 390 in Buena Vista County from the primary road system.

Remove Iowa 390 and its extension in Buena Vista County as follows:

Beginning at a point (junction Iowa 10) near the S ¼ Corner Section 21‑T93N‑R35W; thence northerly through said Section 21 to the south corporation line of the City of Marathon, connecting with an unnamed street.

Marathon:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly, easterly, and northerly to the north line of Attica Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records, Iowa 390 in Buena Vista County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 390 in Buena Vista County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 390 and its extension in Buena Vista County as follows:

Beginning at a point (junction Iowa 10) near the S ¼ Corner Section 21‑T93N‑R35W; thence northerly through said Section 21 to the south corporation line of the City of Marathon, connecting with an unnamed street.

Marathon:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly, easterly, and northerly to the north line of Attica Street.
