New Description - Interstate 35 and its extensions in Cerro Gordo County described as follows:

Beginning on the Cerro Gordo-Franklin County line at a point near the S ¼ Corner Section 32-T94N-R21W, Cerro Gordo County (N ¼ Corner Section 5-T93N-R21W, Franklin County); thence in a northerly direction through Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, and 8-T94N-R21W to a point near the center of Section 8-T94N-R21W; thence northeasterly through Section 8-T94N-R21W to a point near N ¼ Corner NE ¼ Section 8-T94N-R21W; thence northeasterly through Section 5-T94N-R21W to a point near the N ¼ Corner SE ¼ Section 5-T94N-R21W; thence in a northerly direction through Section 5-T94N-R21W, Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, 8 and 5-T95N-R21W and Section 32-T96N-R21W to a point near the N ¼ Corner SE ¼ Section 32-T96N-R21W; thence in a northwesterly direction through Section 32 and 29-T96N-R21W to the south corporation line of Clear Lake connecting with an unnamed street (approximately N ¼ Corner Section 29-T96N-R21W).

Clear Lake:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northeasterly and northerly on said unnamed street to the north corporation line (approximately 1030 feet east of the SW Corner Section 5-T96N-R21W).

Beginning again on the north corporation line of Clear Lake connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly through Sections 5-T96N-R21W and Sections 32 and 29-T97N-R21W to a point near the N ¼ Corner of Section 29-T97N-R21W; thence northerly following substantially the center section line of Sections 20, 17, 8, and 5-T97N-R21W to the Cerro Gordo-Worth County line at a point near the N ¼ Corner of Section 5-T97N-R21W, Cerro Gordo County (S ¼ Corner Section 32-T98N-R21W, Worth County).

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Interstate 35 and its extensions in Cerro Gordo County be deleted and the new description be included in the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Interstate 35 in Cerro Gordo County should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

PROPOSAL/ ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the description of Interstate 35 in Cerro Gordo County, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa State Highway Commission approve the location of Interstate 35 and its extension in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.
