Beginning at a point near the W ¼ Corner of Section 23‑T69N‑R24W (junction of Iowa 2); thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 23, 14, 11, and 2‑T69N‑R24W and Section 35‑T70N‑R24W and Section 35‑T70N‑R24W to a point on the east corporation line of Garden Grove, connecting with Main Street.

Garden Grove:

Beginning on Main Street at the east corporation line; thence west on Main Street to the intersection of Opera Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 204 in Decatur County should be deleted from the Primary System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 204 begins at the junction of Iowa 2 approximately 7 ½ miles east of Leon, Iowa and travels in a northerly direction terminating in Garden Grove, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 204 and its extension in Decatur County as follows:

Beginning at a point near the W ¼ Corner of Section 23‑T69N‑R24W (junction of Iowa 2); thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 23, 14, 11, and 2‑T69N‑R24W and Section 35‑T70N‑R24W to a point on the east corporation line of the City of Garden Grove, connecting with an unnamed street.

Garden Grove:

Beginning at the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence west to Opera Street.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 204 in Decatur County, Iowa.

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
