DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Transfer of
jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑219‑0 (7)‑‑2M‑30,
between Dickinson County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred
that portion of Iowa 219 from Iowa 9 approximately 1700 feet east of the SW
Corner Section 34‑T100N‑R38W northerly to the south corporation
line of the City of Lake Park to county jurisdiction on December 15, 1980.
Transfer of
jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑219‑0 (7)‑‑2M‑30,
between Dickinson County and the Iowa Department of Transportation and transfer
of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑219‑0 (8)‑‑2M‑30,
between the City of Lake Park and the Iowa Department, transferred that portion
of Iowa 219 from the south corporation line of the City of Lake Park north
along the east corporation line of the City of Lake Park to the south
corporation line of the City of Lake Park to local jurisdiction on December 15,
1980.
Transfer of
jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑219‑0 (8)‑‑2M‑30,
between the City of Lake Park and the Iowa Department of Transportation,
transferred that portion of Iowa 219 from the south corporation line northerly
and northeasterly to the north side of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific
Railroad to city jurisdiction on December 15, 1980.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is
recommended the commission approve deleting the attached description of

Due to
agreement Number 77‑U‑126 between the City of Lake Park and the
Iowa Department of Transportation given final approval by the Iowa Department
of Transportation Commission on February 22, 1978, a portion of Iowa 219 in
Lake Park will revert to the city, and should therefore be removed from the
State Primary Highway System upon completion of the said agreement.
