Beginning at the Greene‑Guthrie County line near the S ¼ Corner Section 32‑T82N‑R30W, Greene County (N ¼ Corner Section 5‑T81N‑R30W, Guthrie County); thence north following substantially the center section line of Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, 8, and 5‑T82N‑R30W and Sections 32 and 29‑T83N‑R30W to a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 29-T83N‑R30W; thence in a northwesterly direction through Section 20-T83N‑R30W to a point approximately 400 feet south of the W ¼ Corner Section 20‑T83N‑R30W; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 20 and 17‑T83N‑R30W to the south corporation line of Jefferson connecting with South Elm Street.

Jefferson:

Beginning on South Elm Street at the south corporation line; thence north on South Elm Street to North Elm Street; thence north on North Elm Street to the north corporation line (junction US 30).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Iowa 4 in Greene County, Iowa should be deleted and the new description should be officially included into the Primary System.

Iowa 4 begins at the Greene‑Guthrie County line approximately 10 miles south of Jefferson and travels in a northwesterly direction to the Greene‑Calhoun County line approximately 2 miles north of Churdan, via the Cities of Jefferson and Churdan, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 4 and its extensions in Greene County as follows:

Beginning at the Greene‑Guthrie County Line near the S ¼ Corner Section 32‑T82N‑R30W, Greene County (N ¼ Corner Section 5‑T81N‑R30W, Guthrie County); thence north following substantially the center section line of Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, 8, and 5‑T82N‑R30W and Sections 32 and 29‑T83N‑R30W to a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 29‑T83N‑R30W; thence in a northwesterly direction through Section 20‑T83N‑R30W to a point approximately 400 feet south of the W ¼ Corner Section 20‑T83N‑R30W; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 20 and 17‑T83N‑R30W to the south corporation line of the City of Jefferson connecting with an unnamed street.
