Beginning on the north corporation line of Panora connecting with 3rd Street; thence north through Sections 32 and 29‑T80N‑R30W to a point near the center of the NE ¼ Section 29‑T80N‑R30W; thence northwest through Sections 29 and 20‑T80N‑R30W to a point near the W ¼ Corner SE ¼ Section 20‑T80N‑R30W; thence north following substantially the center section line through Sections 20, 17, 8 and 5‑T80N‑R30W and Sections 32, 29; 20, 17, and 8‑T81N‑R30W to a point near the W ¼ Corner of the SE ¼ Section 8‑T81N‑R30W (south junction of Iowa 141); thence north, northwest, northeast and north through Sections 8 (north junction of Iowa 141) and 5‑T81N‑R30W to the Guthrie-Greene County line at a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 5‑T81N‑R30W, Guthrie County (S ¼ Corner Section 32‑T82N‑R30W, Greene County).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System, Iowa 4 in Guthrie County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 4 begins at the junction Iowa 44 in Panora and travels in a northerly direction to the Guthrie‑Greene County line approximately 4 miles northeast of Bagley, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 4 and its extensions in Guthrie County as follows:

Panora:

Beginning at the intersection of Front Street and Main Street; thence northerly and northwesterly to the north corporation line, connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning on the north corporation line of the City of Panora connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly through Sections 32 and 29‑T80N‑R30W to a point near the center of the NE ¼ Section 29‑T80N‑R30W; thence northwesterly through Sections 29 and 20‑T80N‑R30W to a point near the W ¼ Corner SE ¼ Sec.20‑T80N‑R30W; thence northerly following substantially the center section line through Sections 20, 17, 8 and 5‑T80N‑R30W and Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, and 8‑T81N‑R30W to a point near the W ¼ Corner of the SE ¼ Section 8‑T81N‑R30W (south junction of Iowa 141); thence northerly, northwesterly, northeasterly and northerly through Sections 8 (north junction of Iowa 141) and 5‑T81N‑R30W to the Guthrie‑Greene County line at a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 5‑T81N‑R30W, Guthrie County (S ¼ Corner Section 32‑T82N‑R30W, Greene County).

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 4, in Guthrie County.

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
