DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the relocation of US 20 in Hamilton County, a portion of old US 20 has been re-designated as Unsigned Iowa 941 and should be officially included in the primary road system.

Unsigned Iowa 941 begins at the Interstate 35 interchange approximately 2 ½ miles northwest of Williams and extends eastward to the Hamilton‑Hardin County line.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve the inclusion of the attached description of Unsigned Iowa 941 in the Primary Road System.

New Description ‑ Unsigned Iowa 941 in Hamilton County described as follows:

Beginning at a point near the N ¼ Corner NW ¼ of Section 21‑T89N‑R23W on the west side of the Interstate 35 interchange; thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 21, 22, 23, and 24‑T89N‑R23W to the Hamilton‑Hardin County line at a point near the NE Corner Section 24-T89N‑R23W, Hamilton County (NW Corner Section 19‑T89N‑R22W, Hardin County).
