TITLE: Unsigned Iowa 969, Kossuth County

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Unsigned Iowa 969 begins at US 169 approximately one‑quarter mile west of the City of Burt and travels easterly to the City of Burt.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑969‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑55, between Kossuth County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Unsigned Iowa 969 from US 169 approximately one-quarter mile west of the City of Burt easterly to the City of Burt to county jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑969‑0 (2) ‑‑2M‑55 between Kossuth County and the Iowa Department of Transportation and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑969‑0 (l) ‑‑2M‑55 between the City of Burt and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Unsigned Iowa 969 from the west corporation line of the City of Burt easterly along the north corporation line to the City of Burt to local jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the attached description of Unsigned Iowa 969 in Kossuth County from the primary road system.

Remove Unsigned Iowa 969 and its extension in Kossuth County as follows:

Beginning at the N ¼ Corner of Section 26‑T97N‑R29W; thence easterly following substantially the section line to a point near the NE Corner of said Section 26.

Locate Unsigned Iowa 969 in Kossuth County, Iowa as follows:

Beginning at the N ¼ Corner of Section 26-T97N-R29W; thence easterly following substantially the section line to a point near the NE Corner of said Section 26.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Unsigned Iowa 969 in Kossuth County, Iowa.

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
