DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to an annexation by the City of Cedar Rapids on June 20^th, 2018, the route description for Iowa 922 in Linn County needs to be modified.

New Description- Iowa 922 and its extensions in Linn County are described as follows:

Beginning at the junction of US 30/151/218 (Section 2-T82N-R8W); thence in a northeasterly direction to west corporation line of Cedar Rapids connecting with Williams Boulevard.

Cedar Rapids:

Beginning on Williams Boulevard at the west corporation line; thence northeast on Williams Boulevard to 1st Avenue; thence east, northeast through the junction of Interstate 380; thence north and northeast on 1st Avenue to Iowa 100 in Cedar Rapids.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the relocation of US 151 around the City of Cedar Rapids the official description for the part of US 151 from the junction US 30/151/218 northeast to Iowa 100 in Cedar Rapids was re-designated Iowa 922 on July 7, 1989.

Iowa 922 begins at junction US 30/151/218 and travels northeasterly to the west corporation line of Cedar Rapids; thence northeasterly on 1st Avenue to Iowa 100 in Cedar Rapids.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the old description of US 151 in Cedar Rapids be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description as described in the attachment, be included in the Primary Road System.

Locate Iowa 922 and its extension in Linn County is as follows:

Beginning at the junction of US 30/151/218 (Section 2-T82N-R8W); thence in a northeasterly direction through Section 1 to the west corporation line of Cedar Rapids connecting with Williams Boulevard.

Cedar Rapids:

Beginning on Williams Boulevard at the west corporation line; thence northeast on Williams Boulevard to 1st Avenue; thence east, northeast, north and northeast on 1st Avenue to Iowa 100 in Cedar Rapids.
