Beginning on the South Dakota‑Iowa State line at a point 416 feet west of the NE Corner of Section 9‑T100N‑R48W; thence southeasterly to a point approximately 1700 feet south of the NE Corner of Section 9‑T100N‑R48W; thence south following substantially the section line of Sections 10 and 15‑T100N‑R48W to a point 1248 feet south of the W ¼ Corner of Section 15‑T100N‑R48W; thence southeasterly through Sections 15, 22, 23, 26, and 25‑T100N‑R48W to the west corporation line of Larchwood connecting with Holder Street.

Larchwood:

Beginning on Holder Street at the west corporation line; thence southeast and east on Holder Street to an unnamed street; thence southeast and south on unnamed street to the south corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 9 in Lyon County should he deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 9 begins at the Iowa‑South Dakota line approximately 5 miles northwest of Larchwood and travels in a southeasterly and easterly direction to the Lyons‑Osceola County line approximately 1 ½ miles southeast of Little Rock via the cities of Larchwood and Rock Rapids, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 9 and its extensions in Lyon County, Iowa as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 9, Lyon County, Iowa.
