Beginning on the Marion‑Lucas County line at a point approximately 300 feet east of the S ¼ Corner of Section 32‑T74N‑R20W, Marion County (N ¼ Corner of Section 5‑T73N‑R20W, Lucas County); thence northeasterly through Sections 32, 33, 28, 27, 22, and 15‑T74N‑R20W to a point approximately 800 feet south of the NE Corner of Section 15‑T74N‑R20W; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Sections 14, 11, and 2‑T74N‑R20W to a point approximately ¼ mile north of the SW Corner of Section 2‑T74N‑R20W; thence in a northeasterly direction through Section 2‑T74N‑R20W and in a northeasterly and northerly direction through Sections 35, 36, 25, 24, and 13‑T75N‑R20W to a point approximately 1,100 feet north of the S ¼ Corner of Section 13‑T75N‑R20W; thence northerly following substantially the center section line of Sections 13, (junction Iowa 5 and Iowa 92) and 12‑T75N‑R20W to the south corporation line of Knoxville connecting with Lincoln Street.

Knoxville:

Beginning on Lincoln Street at the south corporation line; thence north on Lincoln Street to the north corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 14 in Marion County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 14 begins on the Marion-Lucas County line approximately 12 miles southwest of Knoxville, Iowa and travels northeasterly and northerly via Knoxville to the Marion‑Jasper County line approximately 12 miles north of Knoxville, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 14 and its extension in Marion County as follows:

Beginning on the Marion‑Lucas County line at a point approximately 300 feet east of the S ¼ Corner of Section 32‑T74N‑R20W, Marion County (N ¼ Corner of Section 5‑T73N‑R20W, Lucas County); thence northeasterly through Sections 32, 33, 28, 27, 22, and 15-T74N‑R20W to a point approximately 800 feet south of the NE Corner of Section 15‑T74N‑R20W; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Sections 14, 11, and 2‑T74N‑R20W to a point approximately ¼ mile north of the SW Corner of Section 2‑T74N‑R20W; thence in a northeasterly direction through Section 2‑T74N‑R20W and in a northeasterly and northerly direction through Sections 35, 36, 25, 24, and 13‑T75N‑R20W to a point approximately 1,100 feet north of the S ¼ Corner of Section 13‑T75N‑R20W; thence northerly following substantially the center section line of Sections 13 (junction Iowa 5) and 12‑T75N‑R20W to the south corporation line of the City of Knoxville connecting with an unnamed street.
