DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to the transfer of jurisdiction agreements on Iowa 105 in the other portions of Mitchell County, Iowa 105 became Unsigned Iowa 973 in 1993.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the old description of Iowa 105 in Mitchell County be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to construction on US 218 in St. Ansgar, in 1988 a new connection with Iowa 105 was completed. This should have been reflected on the 9-7-94 Staff Action, but was missed.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the old description of Iowa 105 in Mitchell County be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description, as described in the attachment, be included in the Primary Road System.

New Description - Iowa 105 in Mitchell County described as follows:

St. Ansgar:

Beginning on Main Street at the north corporation line; thence southerly on Main Street to 4th Street; thence on 4th Street to .06 miles west of Park Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement numbers 93-TJ-015-066 and 93-TJ-008-66 between Iowa Department of Transportation, the City of Carpenter and Mitchell County transferred the portions of Iowa 105 from west corporation line of Carpenter easterly to east corporation line of Carpenter; thence easterly and southeasterly to north corporation line of St. Ansgar to local jurisdiction on December 12, 1992.

The official description of Iowa 105 should be deleted to reflect these transfers.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 105 in Mitchell County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 105 begins on the Mitchell‑Worth County line in Carpenter and travels in a southeasterly direction terminating in the City of St. Ansgar.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 105 and its extensions in Mitchell County, Iowa, as follows:

Carpenter:

Beginning on the west corporation line (Mitchell‑Worth County line) connecting with an unnamed street; thence easterly to the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.
