Beginning on the Mitchell‑Worth County line at a point near the NW Corner Section 30‑T98N‑R18W, Mitchell County (NE Corner Section 25‑T98N‑R19W, Worth County); thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, and 25‑T98N‑R18W and Sections 30, 29, and 28‑T98N‑R17W to a point approximately 1,320 feet east of the NW Corner Section 28‑T98N‑R17W; thence in a southeasterly, easterly, and northeasterly direction through the north part of Sections 28 and 27‑T98N‑R17W to a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 27‑T98N‑R17W; thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 27 and 26‑T98N‑R17W to the west corporation line of Osage, connecting with Main Street.

Osage:

Beginning on Main Street at the west corporation line; thence east on Main Street to the east corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 9 in Mitchell County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 9 begins at the Mitchell-Worth County line approximately 11 miles west of Osage and travels in an easterly and northeasterly direction to the Mitchell‑Howard County line in Riceville via the City of Osage, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 9 and its extensions in County as follows:

Beginning on the Mitchell‑Worth County line at a point near the NW Corner Section 30-T98N‑R18W, Mitchell County (NE Corner Section 25‑T98N‑R19W, Worth County); thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, and 25‑T97N‑R18W and Sections 30, 29, and 28‑T97N‑R17W to a point approximately 1320 feet east of the NW Corner Section 28‑T98N‑R17W; thence in a southeasterly, easterly, and northeasterly direction through the north part of Sections 28 and 27‑T98N‑R17W to a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 27-T98N‑R17W; thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 27 and 26‑T98N‑R17W to the west corporation line of the City of Osage, connecting with an unnamed street.
