Beginning on the Plymouth‑Woodbury County line connecting with Sioux River Road on the north corporation line of Sioux City at a point approximately 806 feet west of the S ¼ Corner Section 35‑T90N‑R48W; thence in a northerly and northwesterly direction through Sections 35, 26, and 27‑T90N‑R48W to a point 238 feet west of the E ¼ Corner Section 27‑T90N‑R48W; thence continuing in a northwesterly direction through Sections 27, 22, 15, 16, 9, 4 and 5‑T90N‑R48W to a point 1,236 feet west of the SE Corner Section 32‑T91N‑R48W; thence continuing in a northwesterly direction through Sections 32, 29, 30, and 19‑T91N‑R48W, and Sections 24, 13, 14, 11, 2 and 3‑T91N‑R49W to a point on the east side of the Dakota and Iowa Railroad approximately ¼ mile west of the E ¼ Corner Section 3‑T91N‑R49W; thence in a northwesterly direction along the east side of said railroad and substantially parallel thereto through Section 3‑T91N‑R49W and in a northeasterly direction along the east side of said railroad and substantially parallel thereto through Sections 34 and 27‑T92N‑R49W to the south corporation line of Westfield connecting with Portland Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records, Iowa 12 in Plymouth County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

Iowa 12 begins on the Plymouth‑Woodbury County line (north corporation line of Sioux City) approximately 1 mile east of the Iowa‑South Dakota line and travels northwesterly and northeasterly via Westfield and Akron to the Plymouth‑Sioux County line one mile east of the Iowa‑South Dakota State line.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Iowa 12 and its extensions in Plymouth County as follows:
