DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement numbers TJ-315-0(3) and 2003-TJ-023, between Pocahontas County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Iowa 315 from a point (junction of Iowa 4) near the NW Corner Section 7-T90N-R32W; then east following substantially the section line of Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10-T90N-R32W to the west corporation line of Palmer connecting with La Salle Street to county jurisdiction on April 21, 2003.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 2003-TJ-024, between the city of Palmer and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Iowa 315 from La Salle Street at the west corporation line; then east on La Salle Street to Hanson Avenue; then south on Hanson Avenue to Main Street; then east on Main Street to the west line of Henrietta Avenue to city jurisdiction on April 21, 2003.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve deleting the present description of Iowa 315 and its extensions in Pocahontas County from the Primary Road System.

Palmer:

Beginning on La Salle Street at the west corporation line; then east on La Salle Street to Hanson Avenue; then south on Hanson Avenue to Main) Street; then east on Main Street to the west line of Henrietta Avenue.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 315 in Pocahontas County should be deleted and the next description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

Iowa 315 begins at a junction with Iowa 4 approximately 4 miles west of Palmer, and travels generally easterly to a point in Palmer, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 315 and its extension in Pocahontas County as follows:

Beginning at a point (junction Iowa 4) near the NW Corner Section 7-T90N‑R32W; thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10-T90N‑R32W to the west corporation line of the City of Palmer connecting with an unnamed street.

Palmer:

Beginning on the west corporation line and connecting with an unnamed street; thence easterly, southerly, and easterly to Henrietta Avenue.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 315 in Pocahontas County, Iowa.

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
