DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 2001-C-086, between Polk County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Unsigned Iowa 312 near the junction of US 65 (approximately 2350 feet north and 1070 feet east of the SW corner section 1-T80N-R22W); then east and northwest to a dead end (approximately 3620 feet north and 2660 feet east of the SW corner section 1-T80N-R22W); again at a dead end (approximately 2280 feet west and 1750 feet south of NE corner section 1-T80N-R22W); then northeast to NE 118th Avenue (a secondary road) to county jurisdiction on January 24, 2003.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

New Description - Unsigned Iowa 312 and its extensions in Polk County described as follows:

Beginning at the junction of US 65 (approximately 2350 feet north and 1070 feet east of the SW Corner Section 1-T80N-R22W); then east and northwest to a dead end (approximately 3620 feet north and 2660 feet east of the SW Corner Section 1-T80N-R22W).

Beginning at a dead end (approximately 2280 feet west and 1750 feet south of NE Corner Section 1-T80N-R22W); then northeast to NE 118th Avenue (a secondary road).

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve adding the description of Unsigned Iowa 312 in Polk County to the Primary Road System.
