Beginning on the Iowa‑Missouri state line at a point approximately 700 feet west of the S ¼ Corner Section 26‑T67N‑R31W; thence northeasterly through Section 26‑T67N‑R31W to a point approximately ¼ mile north of the S ¼ Corner said Section 26; thence north following substantially the center section line of Sections 26, 23 and 14‑T67N‑R31W to the south corporation line of Redding, connecting with State Street.

Redding:

Beginning on State Street at the south corporation line; thence north on State Street approximately ½ mile; thence northeasterly and east on unnamed street to the east corporation line.

Beginning again on the east corporation line of Redding connecting with an unnamed street; thence easterly following substantially the section line of Section 13‑T67N‑R31W and Sections 18, 17, 16 and 15‑T67N‑R30W to a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 15‑T67N‑R30W; thence curving northeasterly through Section 10‑T67N‑R30W to a point approximately 1,800 feet north of the SE Corner of Section 10‑T67N‑R30W; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 11 and 2‑T67N‑R30W and Sections 35, 26, 23 and 14‑T68N‑R30W to a point near the SW Corner Section 11‑T68N‑R30W; thence in a northeasterly direction through said Section 11 to a point approximately 1,700 feet west of the NE Corner Section 11‑T68N‑R30W (W. junction Iowa 2); thence easterly following substantially the section line Sections 11 and 12‑T68N‑R30W to the west corporation line of Mount Ayr, connecting with South Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records US 169 in Ringgold County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

US 169 begins on the Iowa‑Missouri State line approximately 2 miles south of Redding, and travels in a general northeasterly direction via Redding and Mount Ayr to the Ringgold‑Union County line approximately 2 miles east of Shannon City, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate US 169 and its extensions in Ringgold County as follows:

Beginning on the Iowa‑Missouri state line at a point approximately 700 feet west of the S ¼ Corner Section 26‑T67N‑R31W; thence northeasterly through Section 26‑T67N‑R31W to a point approximately ¼ mile north of the S ¼ Corner said Section 26; thence north following substantially the center section line of Sections 26, 23 and 14‑T67N‑R31W to the south corporation line of the City of Redding connecting with an unnamed street.
