TITLE: Official Description Change: Iowa 211, Story County

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 211 begins at a junction with Iowa 210 approximately one mile south of the City of Cambridge and proceeds north to the City of Cambridge.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑211‑0 (4)‑‑2M‑85, between Story County and the Iowa Department of Transportation transferred that portion of Iowa 211 from a junction with Iowa 210 near the S ¼ Corner Section 28‑T82N‑R23W north to the south corporation line of the City of Cambridge to County jurisdiction on August 25, 1980.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑211‑0 (3)‑‑2M‑85, between the City of Cambridge and the Iowa Department of Transportation transferred that portion of Iowa 211 from the south corporation line northerly, easterly and northerly to Third Street to city jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the attached description of Iowa 211 in Story County from the primary road system.

Remove Iowa 211 and its extension in Story County as follows:

Beginning at a point near the S ¼ Corner Section 28‑T82N‑R23W (junction Iowa 210); thence northerly following substantially the center section line of said Section 28 to the south corporation line of the City of Cambridge connecting with an unnamed street.

Cambridge:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly on unnamed street to Third Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 211 begins at Iowa 210 approximately 1 mile south of Cambridge, and travels northerly to a point in Cambridge, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 211 in Story County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 211 in Story County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 211 and its extension in Story County as follows:

Beginning at a point near the S ¼ Corner Section 28‑T82N‑R23W (junction Iowa 210 thence northerly following substantially the center section line of said Section 28 to the south corporation line of the City of Cambridge connecting with an unnamed street.

Cambridge:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly on unnamed street to Third Street.
