TITLE:  Official Description Change:  Iowa 86, Worth County

 

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Iowa 86 begins in the City of Fertile and travels northerly approximately one‑half mile to a junction with Iowa 9.

 

Due to a transfer of jurisdiction Agreement Number TJ‑86‑0(2)‑‑2M‑98 between Fertile and the Iowa Department of Transportation approved April 4, 1980, that portion of Iowa 86 beginning on the north line of Lime Creek Bridge northerly to the north corporation line should be deleted from the primary road system and reverted to the city street system of Fertile effective July 1, 1980.

 

Due to a transfer of jurisdiction Agreement Number TJ‑86‑0(3)‑‑2M‑98 between Worth County and the Iowa Department of Transportation approved April 4, 1980, that portion of Iowa 86 from the north corporation line of Fertile northerly to a junction with Iowa 9 near the NW Corner Section 35‑T98N‑R22W should be deleted from the primary road system and reverted to the Worth County secondary road system effective July 1, 1980.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the description of Iowa 86 in Worth County, as referred to in the attached detailed description, be deleted from the primary road system.

 

Remove Iowa 86 and its extension in Worth County as follows:

 

Fertile:

 

Beginning on an unnamed street at the north end of the bridge over Lime Creek; thence northerly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed Street.

 

Beginning on the north corporation line of the City of Fertile connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Section 35‑T98N‑R22W to a point near the NW Corner Section 35-­T98N‑R22W (junction Iowa 9).

Iowa 86 begins at a point in Fertile, and travels northerly to a junction with Iowa 9 just north of Fertile, Iowa.

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 86 in Worth County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 86 in Worth County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

 

Locate Iowa 86 and its extension in Worth County as follows:

 

Fertile:

 

Beginning on an unnamed street at the north end of the bridge over Lime Creek; thence northerly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Beginning on the north corporation line of the City of Fertile connecting with an un­named street; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Section 35­-T98N‑R22W to a point near the NW Corner Section 35‑T98N‑R22W (junction Iowa 9).
