Beginning on the Wright‑Humboldt County line at a point near the NW Corner Section 6‑T91N‑R26W Wright County (NE Corner Section 1‑T91N‑R27W Humboldt County) (W junction Iowa 17); then east following substantially the section line of Sections 6 and 5‑T91N‑R26W to the west corporation line of Goldfield, connecting with an unnamed street.

Goldfield:

Beginning on an unnamed street at the west corporation line; then east on said unnamed street to the east corporation line.

Beginning again on the east corporation line of Goldfield connecting with an unnamed street; then easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 3, 2 and 1‑T91N‑R26W and Sections 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2‑T91N‑R25W to a point approximately 1,350 feet east of the SW Corner Section 35‑T92N‑R25W; then in a northeasterly and southeasterly direction through the south part of Section 35‑T92N‑R25W to a point approximately 1,400 feet west of the SE Corner Section 35‑T92N‑R25W; then easterly following substantially the section line of Section 2‑T91N‑R25W to the west corporation line of Clarion, connecting with Central Avenue.

Clarion:

Beginning on Central Avenue at the west corporation line; then east on Central Avenue to the east corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 3 begins on the Wright‑Humboldt County line approximately 2 ½ miles west of Goldfield, and travels generally easterly via Goldfield and Clarion to the Wright Franklin County line approximately 2 ½ miles east and ½ mile north of Rowan, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 3 in Wright County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 3 in Wright County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System affective upon the adoption of this resolution.
