Interstate 80 to open at 4 p.m. today AMES, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Transportation plans to open Interstate 80 at 4 p.m. today. All lanes in both directions will be open to traffic traveling through Iowa. The road had been closed due to flooding of the Cedar River. #
