2022 Iowa DOT Driver's Education Conference

Driver & Identification Services Bureau will not be holding a live Behind the Wheel instructor annual conference in 2022. We will once again be hosting an on-line refresher course by the beginning of May.
Behind the Wheel instructors needing to satisfy the requirement of attending an annual state-sponsored or state-approved behind-the-wheel instructor refresher course may now participate in our online course. This course was designed to replace the annual conference this year and will fulfill the instructor renewal requirement. All Behind the Wheel instructors will be sent an invitation from the MVD Education and Information team with instructions on how to access the course. For those who don’t receive an invitation and would like to participate, please email Iowa DOT Behind the Wheel at
