TIME-21 E-alert
Issue 2

Greetings TIME-21 E-alert subscribers:

The Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) is continuing its efforts to inform Iowans about our state’s roadway needs. Several new resources have been developed to assist in that process. You, too, may find them beneficial as you share information in your communities about this important issue.

In the column on the right are the links to these new resources, including:

  • A listing of current highway tax rates for each state, as well as state highway revenues and allocations for our neighboring states.
  • A fact sheet titled, “A Primer on Fuel Prices.”
  • A booklet titled, “Iowa’s Public Roads System: It’s TIME to address Iowa’s transportation needs.”

All of these resources are available online. However, if you would like to obtain printed copies of the booklet, simply submit your request by completing the online contact form.

The Iowa DOT is also pleased to announce that the recommendations in the Road Use Tax Fund report have recently been endorsed by the U.S. 20 Corridor Association. A testimonial from the U.S. 20 Corridor Association is posted on the “Iowans Speak Out” Web page. To share your comments or endorsement, complete the online contact form.
