On Thursday, March, 6, Senate study bill SSB3267 and House study bill HSB628 were voted out of the Senate and House Transportation committees, allowing these bills to advance to the Senate and House Ways and Means committees.

These bills essentially provide the framework for further legislative discussion. While both bills allocate moneys to the TIME-21 Fund and have similarities, there are differences yet to be resolved.

Both study bills were amended prior to being voted out of their respective committees and are likely to undergo additional amendments throughout the legislative process. The current versions of the bills, which include all amendments, are not yet posted on the Iowa General Assembly’s Web site.
