Today the Iowa House passed the Transportation Investment Moves the Economy in the 21st Century
(TIME-21) funding measure on a vote of 53-47. Yesterday the Senate passed the legislation on a vote of 35-14. This means the legislation is on its way to the governor for signature.

Governor Chet Culver issued this statement today in reaction to the House vote.

"I commend the legislature for sending to my desk this important “TIME-21” infrastructure legislation. I look forward to signing the bill. As I’ve said before, I am pleased to support a bipartisan measure that improves public safety and allows us to make critical investments in our infrastructure, especially our bridges and roads. I thank the Republican and Democratic legislators for locking arms and coming together to pass legislation funding these infrastructure needs."
