Get Involved

Everyone in Iowa has a stake in the future of our public roads system. It provides us with a freedom of mobility unrivaled anywhere in the world. We have come to count on it for access to jobs, health care, shopping, and services. We depend on it to move our mail, groceries, agricultural products, and other goods.

When facing a challenge, Iowans always pull together to find solutions. It's time to find solutions for challenges affecting Iowa's public roads system. It's a situation that has already postponed needed repairs to our roads and bridges, it has prevented new roads vital to our economy from being built, and will only grow more critical over the next 20 years.

The Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa's cities and counties are doing their part to make the legislature and public aware of this situation so that action can be taken quickly. You, too, can get involved. Here are just a few ways.
