New Description ‑ Iowa 22 and its extensions in Scott County described as follows:

 

Buffalo:

 

Beginning on an unnamed street on the west corporation line (Scott‑Muscatine County line); thence in a southeasterly and northeasterly direction to the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Beginning on the east corporation line of Buffalo connecting with an unnamed street; thence in a northeasterly direction through Sections 24 and 13‑T77N‑R2E to the west corporation line of Davenport, connecting with Rockingham Road.

 

Davenport:

 

Beginning on Rockingham Road at the west corporation line; thence in a northeasterly direction on Rockingham Road to West River Drive (junction US 61).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Iowa 22 begins on the Scott‑Muscatine County line on the west corporation line of Buffalo, and travels generally northeasterly via Buffalo and Davenport to US 61 in Davenport, Iowa.

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 22 in Scott County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 22, in Scott County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed de­scription, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 22 and its extensions in Scott County as follows:

 

Buffalo:

 

Beginning on an unnamed street on the west corporation line (Scott‑Muscatine County line); thence in a southeasterly and northeasterly direction to the east corpora­tion line connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Beginning on the east corporation line of the City of Buffalo connecting with an unnamed street; thence in a northeasterly direction through Sections 24 and 13-T77N-R2E to the west corporation line of the City of Davenport connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning on the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence in a northeasterly direction to West River Drive (junction US 61).

Commencing on Rockingham Road at the west corporation line (intersection of Rockingham Road and Utah Avenue); thence in a northeasterly direction on Rockingham Road to its intersection with an unnamed street at a point approximately ¼ mile east of the center of Section 18-T77N-R3E; thence northeasterly on said unnamed street to the intersection of Rockingham Road and 30th Street SW; thence northeasterly on Rockingham Road to the intersection of West River Street (junction of US 61 and Iowa 22).

Beginning again on the east corporation line of the Town of Buffalo connecting with Front Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the north side of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway and substantially parallel thereto through Section 23, 24 and 13-T77N-R2E, and Section 18-T77N-R3E, to the west corporation line of the City of Davenport connecting with an unnamed street.

 

NOTE: Designation to become effective upon the relocation and opening to traffic of relocated US 61, more specifically Scott County projects U-831, UG-831 (8) & (9)
