Michele Frank, program specialist for the Office of Aviation, has announced her resignation effective Aug. 2, 2012. Frank has accepted a new job in Florida and will be relocating to the Orlando area to be closer to family living there.
Frank has been with the Iowa DOT since 1999 and has served in the Office of Aviation since 2002. Since then, she has worked with aircraft registration, outreach, database maintenance, and support of programs that promote and support Iowa’s air transportation system.
Office of Aviation Director Michelle McEnany says, “Michele has been a key employee in the Office of Aviation. She has been instrumental in the aircraft registration program and in providing day to day support of aviation programs. We will particularly miss her enthusiastic work with the annual Iowa Aviation conference. The Office of Aviation wishes her luck as she ventures out on this new life journey.”
Frank stated she has enjoyed working with airports, aircraft owners, and vendors. “The aviation community in Iowa has been great to work with and I will miss working with them. I appreciate the support I have received and wish them all the best of luck in the future.”
It is anticipated the program specialist position will be filled. The position is currently being evaluated to see if there are ways it can be improved and the job vacancy should be posted soon.
Good luck Michele!
