Pella's Vande Voort receives fourth master CFI designation

Vande VoortMaster Instructors, LLC has announced that Shane Vande Voort, chief flight instructor and president of Classic Aviation in Pella, has been renewed as a master certificated flight Instructor (CFI). Vande Voort first earned the accreditation in 2006, and has held it continuously since that time. He is one of only 51 flight instructors worldwide to earn the credential four times.

The master CFI designation is an accreditation recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration. Candidates must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to excellence, professional growth, and service to the aviation community, and must pass a rigorous evaluation by a peer board of review.

Vande Voort specializes in technically advanced aircraft and tailwheel training. He also serves as a designated pilot examiner and an FAA Safety Team representative in the FAA's Des Moines Flight Standards District Office area.
