2017 National Summer Training Institute Program Applicants

The Iowa Department of Transportation is accepting fiscal year 2017 National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) Program Statements of Work (SOW) applications.

Your applicaton and letter of intent to participate is due to the Iowa DOT's Office of Employee Services' civil rights team by Friday, December 9, 2016.

Applications submitted that are incomplete or late will not be evaluated.


The objectives of the program are to improve STEM skills, provide awareness to middle and high school students about transportation careers and encourage them to consider transportation-related courses of study in their higher education pursuits. The length of the program is typically 2-4 consecutive weeks. Host sites are required to provide significant program time to classroom participation.
