The Iowa DOT is self-insured (according to Section 321.20B of the Iowa Code). If you or your client damaged Iowa DOT (state) property in an accident, please fill out the form below. If you have questions about a claim or the claim process, please contact our Claims Management Staff.
Please note: The claims management team only deals with property damage claims for Iowa DOT property or claims against Iowa DOT for damage to personal property. The Iowa DOT Human Resources Bureau handles Workers Compensation at 515-239-1399.
