4194.01 CALCIUM CHLORIDE.
Calcium chloride shall meet requirements of AASHTO M 144. Unless otherwise provided in the contract documents, at the Contractor's option, the calcium chloride may be furnished in either solid or liquid form.

A. Solid Form.
Solid form shall be flake, pellet, or other granular calcium chloride containing not less than 77% calcium chloride.

B. Liquid Form.
Liquid form shall be a water solution of calcium chloride containing not less than 32% calcium chloride.

4194.02 SODIUM CHLORIDE FOR DUST PALLIATIVE AND STABILIZATION.
Sodium chloride used as dust palliative and for stabilization shall comply with requirements of AASHTO M 143. Sampling and testing shall be in accordance with Iowa DOT Laboratory Test Method 801.
