INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE
RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS
Raised pavement markers intended to provide temporary pavement markings shall meet the requirements of Article 2527.02, D, 5.
Acceptance of raised pavement markers will be on the basis of manufacturer and brand name approval and satisfactory field performance.
Approved manufacturers and brand names are listed in Appendix A.
Manufacturer and brand name approval will be based on preliminary inspection and NTPEP test data submitted by the manufacturer to the Office of Materials.
Approval of raised pavement markers may be withdrawn because of deficient monitor test results; product changes made after original approval, or unsatisfactory field performance.
The Office of Materials may sample and test raised pavement markers to verify compliance with specifications.
