GENERAL

The Temporary Lane Separator System consists of a combination of longitudinal curb units and upright flexible posts. These systems shall meet the requirements of the current specifications for Temporary Lane Separator System. Approved Products are listed in the Materials Approved Products Listing Enterprise (MAPLE).

ACCEPTANCE

Acceptance of Temporary Lane Separator System will be based on satisfactory evaluation of a preliminary sample furnished to the Iowa Department of Transportation, Office of Construction and Materials, Ames, Iowa, and the manufacturer certification statement of specification compliance. A list of approved manufacturers based on preliminary sample evaluation and certification documentation will be developed and maintained by the Office of Construction and Materials.

CERTIFICATION

The manufacturer shall provide the Project Inspector the following statement of certification:

This is to certify that (manufacturer name, product number) this Temporary Lane Separator System meets the requirements of the applicable specifications of the Iowa Department of Transportation.
