*The Engineer may require concrete represented by air content more than 1.1% below the low air tolerance limit to be removed and replaced. ** Price adjustment is to be applied to the applicable contract line item, per unit of non-compliant concrete. When the applicable contract line item includes substantial cost in addition to concrete material cost (such as structural concrete items which include substantial percentage of cost for formwork, falsework, labor and/or other non-material cost), the amount of price adjustment shall be based on the Engineer’s reasoned estimate of actual damage cost associated with the non-complying work, or the value indicated in this price adjustment schedule, whichever is less. |

Note: Price adjustment in table is for failure to provide any certified plant inspection for placement/day. If a partial day is provided or if a portion of the testing is conducted, then the price adjustment should be prorated accordingly. Plant monitoring is an agency responsibility. Failure to provide plant monitoring could impact project funding but no price adjustment should be assessed. |
