UPDATED: Overnight Sept. 22 and Sept. 23 - A paving project on the southbound ramp from Hamilton Boulevard to Wesley Parkway will require overnight closures of the ramp on Sunday, Sept. 22, from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. and Monday, Sept. 23, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Floyd Boulevard at I-29

UPDATED: Overnight Sept. 22-23 - Closure of Floyd Boulevard at I-29 for a bridge replacement project in Sioux City, originally scheduled for tonight, has been postponed until 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, weather permitting. The ramps and frontage road will stay open to traffic.


March 19 - A bridge and pavement replacement project on the Wesley Parkway ramp to southbound Interstate 29 in Sioux City will require closing the ramp to traffic at 8 a.m. Monday, March 18, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 3 Office. A signed detour (see map below) will use Third Street, Pierce Street, Gordon Drive, and Virginia Street.

Status update

Reconstruction of the I-29 southbound lanes is scheduled for 2019. Work will include replacement of the bridges over Floyd Boulevard, Pierce Street, Perry Creek and Hamilton Boulevard, as well as construction of a new bridge at Virginia Street.

Sidewalk closures

Status update

The Pierce Street Trail, from Gordon Drive to the Riverfront is closed for construction. The trail will reopen Friday, July 19, weather permitting.

The Riverfront trail will be closed between the Anderson Dance Pavilion and Wesley Parkway, Tuesday, Sept. 24 and Wednesday, Sept. 25, weather permitting.
