Federal-aid Overview Seminar - July 17, 2019

Iowa DOT East/West Materials Conference Room
800 Lincoln Way
Ames, Iowa

As part of the Iowa DOT’s administration and oversight of Local Public Agencies (LPA) Federal-aid projects, the Local Systems Bureau conducts a Federal-aid Overview Seminar. This seminar provides a complete overview of the Federal-aid project development and construction process. It is designed for LPA and consultant staff that are new to Federal-aid procedures or need a refresher.

Because of the Federal-aid Swap, we don’t anticipate that too many LPAs or consultants will need this training. Only those LPAs developing and constructing Federal-aid projects are recommended to attend, approximately once every three years. We do monitor attendance at these seminars and other Federal-aid training opportunities. LPAs with active Federal-aid projects but no representation at these seminars or other training opportunities may be contacted and encouraged to attend. Each presentation of this seminar will be recorded, so videos similar to those at the Spring Meetings (below) will be posted at a later date.
