Replacement fees waived for DRIVER’S LICENSES AND IDENTIFICATION CARDS
The $10 fee will be waived to replace a driver’s license or identification (ID) card that was lost or destroyed in one of the counties declared a disaster due to flooding.
This provision to waive the fee has been made by the Governor’s Proclamation to assist with flood recovery and is currently valid until midnight, July 10, 2019.
How to get a replacement driver's license or ID
- Create a written statement confirming your card was lost or destroyed by the recent flooding. Include the city and county where it happened.
- Bring your written statement to a driver's license service center or county treasurer's office. If you wish to upgrade your driver’s license or ID card to receive a REAL ID gold star, you must still bring the additional documentation required.
