Other Research Programs
ACCELERATED MARKET READINESS
The Accelerating Market Readiness (AMR) program provides funding to spur the advancement of emerging transformative innovations that have potential to enhance roadway safety, shorten the project delivery process, and improve the performance of the transportation infrastructure. Funding is available for testing and field evaluations, pilot demonstration projects, and documentation and dissemination of performance results to widen the knowledge base on the innovations.
Accelerated Innovation Deployment
The Accelerated Innovation Deployment (AID) Demonstration program provides funding as an incentive for eligible entities to accelerate the implementation and adoption of innovation in highway transportation. The AID Demonstration program is one initiative under the multi-faceted Technology and Innovation Deployment Program (TIDP) approach providing funding and other resources to offset the risk of trying an innovation.
Innovations Deserving Exploratory Analysis
Innovations Deserving Exploratory Analysis (IDEA) focuses on early-stage, high-risk, high pay-off, investigator led research in highways, transit, and railroad safety and performance.
Cooperative Research Programs
TRB Cooperative Research Programs organize nationwide panels of experts to provide guidance on technical aspects of current research priorities as selected by state DOTs.
Technical Service Programs
AASHTO Technical Service Programs allow participating state DOTs access to the latest technologies and techniques to plan, design, build, maintain, and operate the highest quality transportation system.
