PUBLIC TRANSIT ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Public Transit Advisory Council (PTAC) represents Iowa public transit agencies regarding all State of Iowa public transit funding and policy issues. Council membership includes public transit professionals from regional, small urban (20,000 to 49,999 population), large urban (50,000 to 199,999 population), and urban transit systems (200,000+ population). PTAC members are appointed by the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Office of Public Transit director, and serve a term of three years and a total of no more than four terms. Vacancies are filled by the Iowa DOT’s, Office of Public Transit director, with the recommendations from the PTAC’s members.


Agendas

The Public Transit Advisory Council (PTAC) meets on the first Thursday of February, May, August, and November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Iowa DOT’s central complex in Ames. A teleconference may replace the regularly scheduled meeting in Ames, if the agenda warrants a shorter meeting.
