The International Highway Engineering Exchange Program (IHEEP) brings together transportation engineers, vendors, officials, leaders and industry representatives from various countries, states, counties, cities and consulting firms, from both North America and Europe who are "growing innovation" through technological and process advancements. The conference provides a rare opportunity to share experiences and gather with people who are creating change in our field.
Registration is now open! We are now accepting Attendee, Iowa DOT Employee, and Guest registrations. Limited on-site registrations will be available.
Presentations are a key part of the IHEEP conference and provide a great opportunity to share innovations and technical information among transportation agencies and professionals.
The call for presentation abstracts is NOW OPEN.
Focus areas include BIM and Open Standards, Construction Technology, Data Management, and more. Please refer to the information on the schedule for submitting and selection of presentations for the conference.

Those traveling to Iowa for the conference will want to fly into the Des Moines International Airport, conveniently located less than 5 miles from the Des Moines Marriott Downtown. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport.
Ride-share and taxi services are widely available at the airport as well. It is typically about a 15 minute ride from the airport to the hotel. For those looking for more freedom, rental cars are available from most major car rental companies.
