Transportation enhancement programs' seed projects

The Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management (IRVM) Program Office, located in the Tallgrass Prairie Center at the University of Northern Iowa, is funded by the Living Roadway Trust Fund. Since 1998, the IRVM Program Office has applied for and received federal enhancement program funds to purchase native seed for plantings along Iowa's county roads. Images of some of these plantings are available online at the transportation enhancement's image library.

Of Iowa's 99 counties, 84 have received seed through these programs. View the Transportation Alternatives Seed Awards granted from 1998 to 2014.
