Commercial Driver's License

No CDL is Required

With a Class C operator license, the license most Iowans have, you may drive cars, pickups and trucks whose gross vehicle weight is 26,000 pounds or less.

If you are operating small passenger-for-hire vehicles designed to carry 15 or fewer passengers (including the driver), you would need a Class D chauffeur license.
