As weather patterns sweep across Iowa, the Iowa DOT's
Weatherview system provides the ability to monitor weather data and trends directly from your personal computer.
Weatherview draws from the statewide system of Aviation Weather Observing Systems (AWOS) and Roadway Weather Information Systems (RWIS). Data on winds, visibility, air temperatures, and cloud heights is available.
Statewide views can be customized. For example, one can choose AWOS data with wind speed, direction, and gust information to get statewide wind information. Weatherview also allows you to access weather information from individual AWOS and RWIS sites throughout the state.
