The 38th Street bridge over I-80 will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, December 2. This closure will last the duration of the project, which is approximately three years. The bridge needs to be removed so the interstate can be widened underneath. Work to rebuild the bridge is planned for winter 2026-2027. Please follow the detour on the map below during this closure.
