Here’s how to schedule your REAL ID Gold Star appointment

• Schedule your appointment online
  On the scheduling page, you’ll choose the service center you want to visit and schedule a day and time that works best for you.
  
  Once your appointment is scheduled, you’ll be sent a confirmation email from “Qwebook” in addition to the confirmation that appears on-screen. You may need to check your “spam” folder for this email.
  
  This email is important to keep. It contains a confirmation number and a square code (QR Code) that is necessary to check into your appointment.


• Gather your documents
  In order to get your REAL ID Gold Star, you must bring several required documents with you to your appointment. Find out what you need to bring. https://iowadot.gov/mvd/realid/success.aspx.


• Visit the service center
  Reconfirm the date of your appointment.
  
  Bring all the documents you identified as needing through our customized checklist.
  
  Go to the service center you selected on the date and time you chose. Check in using one of the machines at the entrance. You’ll need either the confirmation number or the QR code from your confirmation email to check in.
  
  You can check in for your appointment up to 15 minutes in advance. If you’re more than 5 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. This will ensure our staff will be available when the next appointment arrives.
