Iowa Mobile ID is a secure, digital version of your Iowa driver’s license or ID that can be added to your phone’s mobile wallet. Enjoy faster verification, increased security, added convenience, and always having control over the information you share.
Iowa Mobile ID is completely optional and free of charge. Because this technology is new, customers should always carry their physical ID as a backup.
Important Notice for Mobile ID App Users
The Iowa Mobile ID app will stop accepting new users on Aug. 31, 2026, and will be retired by the end of the year. Iowa Mobile ID is already available in Apple, Google, and Samsung Wallets, and we encourage app users to switch to the Wallet version. Current app users have received a notice and will get two more before the end of the year.
