About Civil Rights Bureau

The Iowa DOT is dedicated to creating and maintaining a well-qualified, productive and diverse workforce representative of the public it serves.

One of the Iowa DOT's strategic business initiatives is aimed specifically toward fostering an organizational climate that values diversity and inclusion. This climate is further defined as a workplace where employees respect, appreciate and value individual differences, and where the department is able to capitalize on the strengths of all employees in performing its mission through use of collaboration, and creative thinking and problem solving.

The Civil Rights Bureau is committed to providing fair and equitable access to Iowa DOT economic opportunities, programs and services.

Iowa DOT ensures nondiscrimination and equal employment in all programs and activities in accordance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other nondiscrimination statutes.
